Meet Willy

Willy's Family Surf Club


Willy Holmes has spent over 20 years surfing the constantly shifting sandbars of the Outer Banks.


His passion for surfing goes beyond catching waves, it’s about understanding the ocean, experimenting with boards, and helping others unlock their potential in the water.



Through years of exploring different coastlines and conditions, he developed a deep knowledge of how equipment, positioning, and mindset all work together.



Willy’s Surf Safari was created to share that knowledge with surfers who want to progress and experience waves in a more meaningful way.


Meet Sammy

Swell Stories


Photographer and ocean storyteller Sammy Lynam captures the moments that make surfing unforgettable.


Sammy is passionate about documenting the people, places, and experiences that make life in the ocean so special, through both film and digital photography.


Whether she's swimming into the lineup with her camera housing or photographing from the beach, her goal is to create imagery that feels honest, nostalgic, and full of life. She believes some of the best stories happen between waves; the laughter, the friendships, the early mornings, and the adventures that bring people together.


Through Swell Stories, Sammy helps surfers relive their sessions and walk away with tangible memories of their time in the water.

Together, Willy and Sammy combine surf progression with visual storytelling!
